CFRE Course
SOCIAL FUNDRAISING 101
Peer-to-peer fundraising, dissected, explained
This 10-lecture course will prepare you to create, lead, or improve your own peer-to-peer or social fundraising program. Katrina VanHuss, CEO of Turnkey, and Otis Fulton, Ph.D. and Social Psychologist, lead you through the strategic elements of social fundraising in full. You’ll also learn some very tactical aspects of social fundraising, like copywriting and platform selection.
Katrina has invested over 30 years in studying social good and social fundraising. She and Dr. Fulton will address how both conscious and unconscious mental processes impact your efforts to increase revenue, retention, and acquisition.
And that’s where the psychology comes in. Spoiler alert—it turns out that when you focus more on your supporter and less on your mission, you wind up raising more money. We’ll talk about why people really want to support your mission and how you can get them to stay. It may not be for the reasons you think…
